Well, it's official....I had a meeting at AllNorth today to finalize the project that they want implemented. I'll be the one creating the website and hooking it up to their database. It's a pretty big project and I anticipate it taking a couple months to finish. I just met with Frank last night and gave him some things to do (in anticipation of being awarded the contract). So that's great to be able to employ one of my friends to help with this project. I'd probably give Tyler a bunch to do if he didn't have to finish his masters within the next few months....but that's OK, I foresee being very busy over the next year and being able to give both him and Frank a bunch of work if they are interested. For now, I'm relaxing tonight and I will start to attack the website tomorrow and see how far I can get. My plan is to run at this thing head first and get as much done as possible. For all the geeks reading this ,that means that I will be reusing as much technology as possible in order to reduce design time and increase efficiency through the use of the ASP.NET 2.0 framework and it's inherent modules which will provide me with the classes and object-oriented models to inherit all my functionality.
Anyways, I'm super excited about this new contract and what it means for my business.
All I need now is for Simon to figure out how to make money from a blog, and I'll be made in the shade. (after he shares that knowledge with me that is...)
Anyways, that's all for now.
Adios,
Andrew
